This website, davidjcarr.ca, is operated by David Carr ("I", "me"). This policy explains what personal information this site collects and how it is handled. I comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy law.

What I collect. The only personal information collected through this site is what you choose to send me through the contact form: your name, email address, and message. Beyond cookies strictly necessary for the site to function, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are set only with your consent — see Analytics below. No advertising cookies are used.

How it is used. Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry. Your information is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. It is not used to send you unsolicited commercial messages.

Service providers. This site is hosted by GoDaddy, whose servers may process technical data (such as IP addresses in server logs) as part of operating and securing the site. GoDaddy acts as a service provider and may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local law.

Retention. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up, then deleted.

Your rights. You may ask what personal information I hold about you, request a correction, or ask that it be deleted, subject to legal requirements. You may withdraw consent to further contact at any time.

External links. This site links to third-party sites (LinkedIn, Substack, and related Green Shoot sites). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Analytics. With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate visitor statistics (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type). Google acts as a service provider and processes this data on servers that may be located outside Canada, including in the United States. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them via the cookie banner; declining does not affect your use of the site, and you can change your choice by clearing your browser cookies.
